Monday October 5th, 2020 9 am- 9pm

Lake Placid, New York ADK’s

Three Shoot Location Areas

Whiteface Mountain, Ausable River & more.

Hosted by Dawn Honsky of Dawn Honsky Photography + Eilis Petrosino of Five Points Design Company creators of The Collectives Company. Dawn with over 20 years of photography experience + Eilis with an eye for design and what’s trending makes for a truly one of a kind experience. This styled shoot is an adventure shoot, which means it will be located in areas where people will need to walk/hike to get to the locations (we will NOT be specifying locations based on the exclusivity of them and our connections to them).

Shoot Design + Photography Opportunities:

Two shoot locations will be provided with one couple posing at each location. Shoot locations will include epic views of the Lake Placid region and will be styled like the mood board provided. This will be an elopement shoot where a table will be set up for two and other locations for photography content specifically including but not limited to, a canoe, river, waterfalls, mountain + lake view settings. Access to some of these locations would not be available to any attendee outside of this styled shoot. Shoots take place during sunrise and sunset times so attendees will need to be up early and out late, Weather is never guaranteed but locations provide stunning backdrops under many weather conditions, including rain. (we will dance in the rain).

All attendees are required to be respectful, kind and courteous to other attendees, vendors and models during the shoot. If an attendee exhibits inappropriate behavior, they will be given a verbal warning and if the behavior continues, the attendee will be asked to leave the styled shoot and will not receive a refund. Publication/use of images can be shared on social media, blogs and websites or to non-exclusive publications. Licensing of the images is not permitted. Attendees must sign a standard release from the modeling agency prior to attending the event. Credit will be given to each vendor when sharing on social media, blogs, and publications. A list with full vendor credits will be provided at styled shoot. All attendees are required to respect the styled shoot timeline. Attendee numbers will dictate group sizes. Purchased tickets will NOT be refunded for any reason. If an attendee is no longer able to attend the event, they, on their own, can re-sell or transfer their ticket to another photographer but must put all information in writing to The Collectives Company and get confirmation on agreement. Dawn Honsky (Dawn Honsky Photography), Eilis Petrosino (Five Points Design Company) or The Collectives Company are not responsible for any of the attendees equipment at any time. It is the sole responsibility of each attendee to watch over and take care of their own gear. We are also not responsible for any injury at any time during the styled shoot, many of the locations create potential hazards and your personal safety is your own responsibility.

The total investment is one payment of $500, or two payments of $250. If you plan to split the total cost into two payments, the second payment is due 1 month before the shootout. After you’ve reserved your spot at our Adirondack Shootout, you will be added to a private Facebook Group where you will get updates and we can all discuss lodging, carpooling, and the shoots!

**Early bird ticket sales will open on May 14th to all subscribers + past attendees.

Tickets will go public on May 15th at 10:00am EST.

Who do I contact about information: Great question + you can always email:

Where can I stay during the workshop: Accommodations will be booked on your own but here are a list of our favorite local places to stay:

Do I have to be in great shape to be involved: You do not, but you do need to be able to walk/hike moderately and be in high elevations. We suggest hiking boots or sturdy sneakers be worn during the shoot. We HIGHLY suggest you do not wear shoes you wouldn’t wear hiking or to the gym and you might want to bring with you apparel that would allow you to be in water to get “that shot”.

Is this an educational shoot: Dawn Honsky with Dawn Honsky Photography will be available to help and answer any questions regarding any photography related or business related questions at any time during the shoot.

What should I bring? After you’ve signed up for the shoot and a few days prior to the shoot date you will be sent a “What To Bring” email. You also will be added to a private facebook page to discuss with us and other attendees information leading up to the event. You’ll be well informed about locations + possible weather conditions and we will prepare you well for any other secrets we have too:)

Is there transportation to the shoot? We can provide information for you to get you exactly where you need to go, just ask!
